2026 Reading List
The 52 books I plan to read in 2026
2/4/20262 min read
As for last year, my goal is to read a book a week, or 52 books over the course of the year. However, for this year, I have prechosen the 52 books. I hope this will make it easier for me to jump into the next book as I finish one, as I won't need to spend time deciding what to read next. I have tagged all the books in the Libby app as "2026" so I just need to filter by "available now" and borrow the next one on the list.
So, here are the 52 books I plan to read in 2026 - they are all fiction books, maybe I will also read some non-fiction in between, but I don't want to set a goal for them, because I frequently don't finish them or they take a long time.

I tried to pick a good mix of genres and subjects and I tried to pick a few that are not ones I would normally choose. I added in a couple of classics, but not too many, as they can be heavy going and could take too long. I'm excited to see if I'll reach my goal this year! All the books I chose are old enough that I should be able to get them from the Libby app without a wait. If I get through them all then I plan to reward myself by buying all my books new in 2027!
